Johnny T.J. Crocker
Johnny T.J. Crocker (kbca, Diggety Doggety Daddy Doodle) was born and raised in Van Horn, Texas -- that's right, right smack in the bottom middle of the USA, right in the pork and grease belly of the Mid-Southwest. Yuuuuuup, right in the bronicles of old sweet Van Horn, Texas. And old T.J.'s a dear mucker to all Van Hornians. From the cradle, Crocker was fascinated by the country music sounds of Van Horn, Texas and showed prolifical musical proclivities as soon as he could meander about. At just shy of 10 years old, the little 'L' was caught numerous times waggin it (skippin' school) in his parental's tractor garridges whilst chiming the cylinders of his papa's mowta hauler's and makin' music! As a young adult, no stranger to the kayliyed ways of Van Hornians, he'd make the rounds playing any tavern in towun he could, especially Chrisstie's Tavern. And on one stormy, fateful night, Crocker traveled to Aberdeen to play at Gus's Rattlesnake Saloon and a rep. from Arista Nashville Records showed up to hear T.J. wail out his soon to be world-famous "I Got A Pickup Truck and It Ain't For Sale." The Arista rep. signed Crocker on the spot. The rest is yow now history
